# v2 quickstart

> Preview, not deployed. Five calls to the v2 gateway, none needing more than id and kind.

> [!WARNING]
>
> **Preview, not deployed.** The v2 gateway (`silo-api`) and MCP v2 (`silo-mcp-v2`) are built but not deployed yet. These calls work once the owner deploys them. Until then, use the [v1 quickstart](https://octo-98895abd.mintlify.site/api-docs/quickstart.md).

### The base URL

```bash theme={null}
export SILO_V2="https://zcjbtpxuhdekpwcxmepn.supabase.co/functions/v1/silo-api/v2"
```

The anonymous tier needs no key and no sign-in. Every parameter has a default, and `meta.request` in each response shows the defaults the gateway applied.

### 1. See the 14 resources

```bash theme={null}
curl "$SILO_V2/"
```

One line per resource, with an example call and its `?help` link.

### 2. Find an id

```bash theme={null}
curl "$SILO_V2/search?q=petrobras"
```

Companies, funds and listed shares that match the name, with their stable ids (CNPJ, ISIN, tickers). Use an id from here in the next calls. Never guess a ticker or a CNPJ.

### 3. Prices

```bash theme={null}
curl "$SILO_V2/prices?id=PETR4"
```

The daily history, split-adjusted by default (`adjust=split`). Every row says whether it is `adjusted`.

### 4. One statement

```bash theme={null}
curl "$SILO_V2/statements?id=PETR4&kind=income"
```

The income statement, quarterly and annual, consolidated by default.

### 5. Ask a resource what it takes

```bash theme={null}
curl "$SILO_V2/prices?help"
```

The kinds, the main parameters and their defaults, and the `api.*` endpoints behind them. `?help=all` adds the hidden parameters.

### Read a response

Every data call returns the same envelope. The shape below is illustrative of shape only; it shows no real values.

```json theme={null}
{
  "data": ["<rows, as the endpoint returned them>"],
  "meta": {
    "resource": "<resource>",
    "kind": "<kind>",
    "request": { "<every parameter>": "<the value applied>" },
    "id_known": "<true | false | null>",
    "endpoint": "<the api.* endpoint that answered>"
  },
  "next_page_url": "<present only when more rows remain>"
}
```

* `data` is always a list. A null stays null; nothing is filled.
* `next_page_url` carries one opaque `cursor`. Send it alone to get the next page.
* An error is one object, `{ "error": { "code", "message", "target", "innererror" } }`. A SILO refusal (`over_limit`) keeps its message word for word: narrow the call, do not retry it.

### Next

* [Cheatsheet](https://octo-98895abd.mintlify.site/api-docs/v2/cheatsheet.md): the shared parameters and every resource's main parameters.
* [For researchers](https://octo-98895abd.mintlify.site/api-docs/v2/researchers.md): point in time, survivorship, adjustment, reproducibility and citation.
* The **v2 endpoints (preview)** section has one page per resource, each with a "try it" playground. It needs the deploy too.
